Ginger Juice recipe

Ginger aids digestion by stimulating acidic saliva, which aids in the breakdown of food in the stomach. If you have the right juicer, juicing ginger is a breeze. The Omega J8006 is my pick for an all-around masticating ginger juicer unit. I like how versatile it is and how nice it looks.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger (if not herbal, peel ginger before juicing)
  • 2 Quartered Apples (medium size)
  • A quarter lemon (peeled)
  • A couple of mint leaves (optional)
  • 1 cup water (or less if you want a milder flavour)

  • In the order mentioned, add the above ingredients to your masticating juicer.
  • If at all possible, I purchase organic vegetables. Ginger has been on the Dirty Dozen list for years, but it was recently removed for reasons I don't understand. Check out the page for a list of the other vegetables that made the cut.
  • This recipe is similarly delightful served over ice or cooked up on the grill.
  • To keep your organic ginger juice fresh, keep it in the fridge for up to three days. These bins are fantastic!
